Mont Blanc – a few things

Hello folks! A brief insight about Mont Blanc:
  • Monte Bianco (Italian) – ‘White Mountain’
  • Elevation: 4,810 metres (15781 feet), above sea level – the highest Summit, of Western Europe in between the Italian and French Alps.
  • FIRST Ascenders: Jacques Balmat and Michel-Gabriel Paccard in the year 1786, and Horace-Bénédict de Saussure in the year 1787.

The Mont Blanc massif is famous for:
  • Skiing and Snowboarding
  • Hiking and Mountaineering

A few things to consider:
  • Mont Blanc is not difficult to climb, but never attempt without proper training and equipment – TO AVOID ACCIDENTS!
  • Mountain weathers change quickly. Check the weather report before going out to hike, climb and ski.
  • Keep mobile phones at hand (with spare batteries, ready), for emergency.
  • Seek the advice of a mountain guide, and do not go alone to explore the mountain ranges.
