Happy Holidays, from Simon Carrelli @ AlpyBus

Hi,

I would like to thank everyone who travelled with AlpyBus this winter 2012/13. AlpyBus is Geneva' number one low cost transfer service and the pioneer in shared and private transfers to the Alps. This year we invested heavily in a brand new fleet of minibuses and acquired our first ever coach - bringing our fleet of vehicles to 17 in total. With the added fleet came a whole host of new drivers and admin personnel - nearly all of whom should be returning for the following season. Our fleet is proudly the most modern in the industry and these new luxury minibuses comply with the latest tough Euro 5 emissions regulations so we’re also continuing to reduce our carbon footprint as well!

Our three main routes Chamonix, Verbier and Morzine have witnessed strong growth, again, in terms of passenger numbers transported and Morzine/Avoriaz in particular reported growth rates of over 25%. Load factors were up 12% from last year for all three routes and we reported a strong improvement in private transfers to the Italian and Swiss Alps. We were exceptionally happy to see tourists returning to Verbier in their droves in spite of the highly priced Swiss Franc. We also saw a marked increase in the number of last minute ticket sales coming from Geneva Airport, which is a result of our better working relationship with the Airport and Gare Routiere.

I'm sure the bumper season of snow played a part :)  - but continuing efforts in online advertising, improvements to our website, strong team spirit and keeping our fares the lowest in the industry have all played a part in this seasons success.

AlpyBus will reopen on 15th June for summer transfers to Chamonix from Geneva Airport and we will also be offering day excursions from Geneva to a variety of places, like Annecy, Montreux, Gruyere and more.

The company is continuously growing and looking at rolling out more vehicles to add to the current fleet. We will be unveiling a new shared route very soon so please keep in touch via Twitter for that update.

We thank you for your continued trust and hope to see you on board again soon!!!

Happy Holidays,

Simon Carrelli
